The facilities (swimming pool, sauna and spa area) are great, just a little bit busy in the evening before dinner time. From the pool, you have a nice view of Hohenschwangau with relaxing music. The staff are very friendly and kind. The location is very convenient for a walk to Hohenschwangau, the ticket center and the bus stop to Neuschwanstein is just in front of the hotel (you can only go up to Neuschwanstein by the provided bus, a private horse carriage or by walk). We could park at the hotel’s parking even after the check out. We had a room in the historic Jägerhaus building - it was a classic ambience but the lighting was a little too dark. I would definitely go back but rather stay in the new building. At least a night stay in the area is recommended due to the whole day of time spent on both castles, Marien Brücke, the nearby lake (not yet counting the museum of the Bavarian King, renting a boat, shopping at local shops and duty free).

Pulling up to the hotel after a long drive from France over backroads past the Bodensee, we were absolutely blown away by the beauty of this hotel's location. We were met by an extremely friendly staff and shown to a wonderful room with fantastic views of Schloss Hohenschwangau and the Alpsee. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of hot and cold, sweet and savoury options. Weisswurst every morning, hiking every day, and beer every evening... what could possibly be bad about that? The large family room we were in had plenty of space for our baggage (4 pieces plus carry-ons) and plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack and settle in. The amenities at the hotel were absolutely first rate! We loved the pool and sauna and relaxed over a bottle of wine at the bar and enjoyed a wonderful Bayerische abendessen at the Bräustüberl.

The lake is located right behind the hotel, which is stunning. It’s very close to the oldest castle and the ticket areas, offering breathtaking views. The pool and spa areas are exceptionally clean. Breakfast is plentiful, with a wide variety of delicious options. I’d like to extend my special thanks to the lady at the restaurant who welcomed me and guided me to the table with the best view, as well as to Hani for assisting me. It could be a great choice for solo travelers. Antique enthusiasts might prefer the Jägerhaus, while the modern section is more practical due to its proximity to the spa.

the hotel was fabulous! the staff was very helpful, the location was perfect, the room (4212) was clean & bathroom updated. (i stayed there this weekend, room 4212 (miguel & desiree bautista). i left my navy blue uniqulo windbreaker in the room. how much would it cost to mail it to me? can you send me the cost because if it's too much no need to mail it to me). thanks & i will recommend your hotel to all my friends & family.

Hotel was very nice, check in was easy and informative, lots of places to eat including restaurants and a less formal bar menu. We got upgraded to a room with a view of both castles which was a nice surprise. The hotel itself is located right next to the bus stop and place to get the horse and carriage to the castle. It couldn’t be more convenient but once you’re in the hotel you wouldn’t know you’re that close to the crowds.
